M4V Player is a player specialized in M4V files that is really easy to use and that you can download for free.

Typically, each file type is opened with a program by default, so when you're opening an M4V file you can right-click, select play with, and choose M4V Player. If you also check the "always do this" option every time you want to view an M4V file you just have to double click on it and it will play in M4V Player.

As a player you have the usual functions for this type of programs: play, stop, forward, backward, full screen viewing ...
